Mindful Self Compassion

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an evidence-based, scientifically researched 8-week program designed to develop our capacity for self-compassion. It was created by Dr. Christopher Germer, a leading expert on the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy (www.MindfulSelfCompassion.org), and Dr. Kristin Neff, a scientist who pioneered the field of self-compassion (www.Self-Compassion.org).

In the MSC course, you will learn to:

  • apply self-compassion and self-kindness effectively in everyday life

  • understand the tender and the fierce forms of self-compassion and cultivate a balance between them in  your life

  • motivate yourself with kindness instead of criticism

  • hold difficult feelings with more ease and equanimity

  • transform challenging relationships

  • deal with the exhaustion that can result from helping ("empathy fatigue")

  • practice the arts of enjoyment, gratefulness and self-appreciation.

I am an accredited teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion and offer the MSC Program in the classic 8-week group course as well as in small groups or in a (semi-)private setting. Here, we can work according to the individual needs and pace of the participants.
